How was your 2024?
2024 was rocking for Build in Public communities
2024 was rocking. Explosive growth in AI, solo founders launching incredible tools, and a wave of indie innovation made it a year to remember.
For me, 2024 was about laying the foundation for my build-in-public strategy. I built three projects, and one even got acquired! Here’s a recap of my year and what I’m looking forward to in 2025.
Project Breakdown
Branit
Branit is a directory of brand kits. While I never managed to monetize it or grow it significantly, it’s still online, and I’m extremely grateful for it.
Why? Because it was my first build-in-public project. It taught me a ton, even though it’s now a zombie project with no clear future in my hands.
Leefwork
Leefwork is a plant-tracking web app I built mainly for myself as a plant log.
Traction was tough, but I did end up selling it for $300, which felt like a win. It was a great reminder that even small projects can have value.
Chage
This is my main focus right now.
Chage is a tool to launch a changelog in seconds, keep users updated, and increase new feature adoption. It’s my first project with a clear monetization strategy and positive market feedback.
New feature adoption and go-to-market strategies are some of the hardest things to get right when building software, and it’s an underserved market. I’m looking to capture it with Chage, starting with changelogs and expanding from there.
How’s 2025 Looking?
My goal is to reach $5K in MRR by the end of 2025.
In Q1, I’m doubling down on Chage. I want to see if I can grow it and find a niche within the product marketing process. Will it work? We’ll see, but I’m excited to find out.
How was your 2024? Did you launch a project, hit a milestone, or learn something new? Let me know—I’d love to hear your story!
